SYNOPSIS
Through the magical childhood memories of Ireland's greatest living playwright, we explore the unforgettable tale of five unmarried sisters on the eve of the most joyous event of the Celtic year: the annual harvest of Lughnasa. While the play celebrates the human spirit with moments of exhilerating Irish stepdancing, the paly's true dance lies within the hypnotic movements accompanying the surrender of language. "To be in touch with some otherness," the five sisters surrender to the dream...and dance. |
