SYNOPSIS
Henry, King of England, is struggling to hold his kingdom together and, as he nears death, summons his family for the Christmas holidays. James Goldman's Oscar Award-winning comedy catapults to new heights the saga of this quintessential dysfunctional family. Each of Henry's three sons, Philip, Geoffrey, and Richard the Lionheart has his own idea about the throne. And the boys' mother, Eleanor of Aquitaine, whom Henry imprisoned years ago, is released to join in the holiday festivities...and you can bet she has a few things to say about who should be King. |
