PINOCCHIO SPRINGS TO LIFE AT LA MIRADA THEATRE

The Classic Tale in a Musical for the Whole Family

 

La Mirada, CA, November 2, 2005 – La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts brings “Pinocchio” to life, in a musical production filled with color and excitement, as part of their Programs for Young Audiences series.  American Family Theater returns on Sunday, December 4, 2005 at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. to present the classic tale of a tiny wooden boy in search of becoming “real.” Gepetto's irresistible puppet-son comes to life and travels from a carnival, to Candyland, to the belly of a whale! A fun filled, hand-clapping musical treat.

Programs for Young Audiences is designed to give children ages five and up and their families exposure to a diverse mix of national and international touring stage acts.  La Mirada Theatre’s Executive Director, Jeff Brown, delights in seeing young audiences pouring through the doors of the theatre.  The Programs for Young Audiences series was created to introduce young people to the stage, and for many, it is their first experience seeing a live performance.”

Pinocchio opens a five-show series which includes: “Cinderella” in February, followed by “The Dream Catchers” in March, “Wizard of Oz” in April and the season will finish with “Mark Nadler’s Pianomal Crackers!” in May.
